About the Role

The Clinical Assistant Program Director will support the Clinical Program Director in overseeing the operation and development of the FACT Team, ensuring high-quality services and compliance. This role also involves direct clinical work with adults diagnosed with mental illness who are justice-involved, providing recovery-based services in the community.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Clinical Program Director with the overall operation and development of the FACT Team, including program performance, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, staff productivity, and commitment to the FACT model.
• Assist with the Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT) process and related coordination, monitoring, documentation, and communication.
• Assume supervision of assigned team members.
• Assist with staff training and growth to bolster professionalism and expertise.
• Ensure designated staff members deliver and document services consistent with agency procedures, policies, and State/Federal regulations.
• Conduct person-centered comprehensive assessments covering psychiatric history, family/social influences, physical health, substance use, educational/vocational goals, legal status, trauma history, housing stability, entitlements, individual preferences, and life goals.
• Engage individuals respectfully, using a strength-based and culturally competent approach.
• Assess individuals’ needs and strengths for independent living skills.
• Develop and implement strength-based individual treatment plans responsive to individuals' needs and goals.
• Provide support, treatment, medication supervision, case management, community advocacy, and linkage services per the treatment plan.
• Complete required documentation of interventions and individual responses/outcomes.
• Collaborate with all providers on the individual’s care team.
• Respond to crisis situations and urgent needs using sound clinical judgment to ensure safety and well-being.
• Provide on-call crisis intervention services on a rotating schedule.
• Provide transportation to individuals we serve when necessary, using agency vehicles.
• Use personal vehicle for business purposes, including attending community meetings and meetings outside the office/program.

Requirements

• NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Mental Health Counselor.
• Experience working with individuals with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) required.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Must have strong commitment to the rights and ability of each person with a mental illness to make their own decisions and choices, live in the community, work, and have access to continuous support and services to enhance wellness and recovery.
• Must be able to effectively work with all people and demonstrate skills and competence to establish supportive and trusting relationships with all individuals.
• Valid and insurable NYS driver's license.
• Must have your own vehicle to use for business purposes.
• All employees must be able to travel to all levels of the facility in a safe and reasonable time frame.
• Successful completion of background checks.

Salary/Compensations

• $79,164.80/annual equivalent
• $3,044.80/biweekly
• $210 on-call stipend per week
