Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain packaging equipment and related machinery.
  • Adjust equipment to meet product and packaging specifications.
  • Perform quality checks on products and packaging.
  • Complete production and quality documentation accurately and in real time.
  • Monitor equipment and product flow to identify and address issues.
  • Respond quickly to equipment issues or slowdowns.
  • Report production concerns to supervisors promptly.
  • Adhere to food safety, GMP, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work area.
  • Provide support through overtime or weekend work as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of experience in food manufacturing.
  • Understanding of food safety and quality programs (GMPs, handwashing, allergen controls, sanitation, cross-contamination prevention).
  • Ability to perform basic shop math.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in environments with food allergens, dry powder, dust, and wet conditions.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 10 hours per shift).
  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, pull, or move materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely work from a mezzanine workstation or scissor lift up to 20 feet high.
  • Frequent use of hands to operate controls, tools, equipment, and packaging materials.
  • Frequent reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and balancing.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle and operate tools, equipment, and packaging materials.
