About the Role
The Master Teacher works with the Teacher Assistant and Teacher Aide to provide a healthy, safe, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for up to 18 preschool students for the AM and PM sessions. The Master Teacher is also responsible for supervising the Teacher Assistant and Teacher Aide, along with maintaining compliance with required training, documentation, and accurate recordkeeping. The Master Teacher reports directly to the Pre-k Coordinator.
Responsibilities
- Provide a healthy, safe, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for preschool students.
- Supervise the Teacher Assistant and Teacher Aide.
- Maintain compliance with required training, documentation, and accurate recordkeeping.
- Keep accurate detailed records.
- Serve as an advocate for children and families.
- Cooperate with all staff to provide quality programming for Pre-K children and families.
Requirements
- All employment is conditional pending satisfactory medical exam and TB test.
- Receipt of fingerprint clearance at the time of hire.
- Employee will be required to sign an affidavit annually which states that he/she has not been indicated in a child abuse or neglect case within the past year.
- Must be able to provide independent transportation to perform job responsibilities.
