About the Role
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) acts as a primary point of contact between Bayer and Thought Leaders, serving as a scientific expert to facilitate education and evidence generation within the stroke/cardiorenal therapeutic area.
Responsibilities
- Exchange and disseminate scientific, educational, and research-related information to Thought Leaders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for key Thought Leaders, fostering strong partnerships.
- Execute medical strategy by translating the local medical plan into implementable Thought Leader engagement plans.
- Generate insights on current clinical practice, beliefs, and unmet medical needs, communicating them to cross-functional partners.
- Stay updated on the latest scientific research in the therapeutic area and understand Bayer's market strategies and the healthcare landscape.
- Coordinate and organize scientific learning activities within the therapeutic area.
- Organize and lead regional consultant meetings to gather insights and shape go-to-market strategies.
- Collect Investigator Initiated Research ideas and facilitate their setup.
- Support medical operations and site management for clinical trials.
- Provide training on disease state, Bayer products, and competitor products to internal and external stakeholders.
- Document medical information queries in alignment with procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures by reporting adverse events and product complaints.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in a customer-facing medical affairs role or experience in drug information, clinical research and development, or other clinical relevant activities.
- Demonstrated learning agility and transferable skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to build productive work-relationships both internally and externally.
- Ability to work independently and a demonstrated self-starter.
- Excellent presentation and written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organization skills with thorough attention to detail.
- Experience learning and using digital technology for communications and analysis.

- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to travel locally/globally to attend conferences for business purposes.
