About the Role
This is a hands-on, field-driven Construction Project Manager role focused on residential exterior projects. You will be on-site daily, directing crews, controlling the jobsite, communicating with homeowners, and driving projects to profitable, on-time completion.
Responsibilities
- Lead production in the field, managing field crews and setting daily priorities.
- Enforce quality and jobsite standards.
- Build and maintain look-ahead schedules.
- Coordinate labor, materials, dumpsters, permits/inspections, and access.
- Perform staged quality control inspections.
- Ensure manufacturer-level details and long-term performance.
- Verify material quantities, colors, profiles, trim packages, and lead times.
- Prevent delays and costly reorders.
- Identify scope gaps or added work early.
- Document, price, and coordinate change order approvals.
- Execute change orders without disrupting the schedule.
- Confirm milestone completion for payment collection.
- Communicate with homeowners to support timely collection.
- Track labor, material, and subcontract costs.
- Protect gross margin.
- Participate in weekly job reviews and close-out P&L.
- Handle site issues decisively, including crew performance, material shortages, weather impacts, homeowner concerns, and detail corrections.
- Maintain daily notes and photos.
- Manage punch lists.
- Ensure the job is completed to standard before final sign-off.
Requirements
- Field-first mindset; prefer the jobsite to the desk and lead crews with clear direction and high standards.
- Residential exterior construction experience strongly preferred (roofing, siding, windows, doors).
- Knowledge of flashing, waterproofing, ventilation, and water management details.
- Construction background required; carpentry experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to run multiple active jobs and priorities without losing control of details.
- Strong client communication: professional, calm, and clear.
- Able to set expectations and protect the customer experience.
- Attention to detail and pride in clean, accurate work (scope, materials, punch lists, and closeout).
- Ownership-driven attitude; accountable for outcomes and solves problems.
- Comfort with estimating, schedules, contracts, subcontracts, and change order procedures.
- Computer literate (Microsoft Word required).
- Spanish-speaking preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to pass a drug test.

- $110,000 first year (target compensation)
- $130,000–$135,000 second year (performance-based target range)
