About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage ongoing financial accounting and ensure smooth operation of all accounting processes.
  • Prepare and provide accounting data from ERP systems for DATEV accounting.
  • Process ongoing financial accounting in DATEV accounting, including account assignment and booking of all business transactions.
  • Handle payment transactions and manage the dunning process.
  • Reconcile asset and open item accounts, including clarifying discrepancies.
  • Prepare VAT pre-declarations and assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB.
  • Manage fixed asset accounting and support inventories and audits.
  • Process travel expense, credit card, and cash settlements, as well as maintain and optimize master data.
  • Create business analyses and statistics.
  • Support controlling, particularly with budget and forecast planning, liquidity planning, actual-vs-plan comparisons, variance analyses, and cost center planning.
  • Participate in projects for the further development and optimization of processes and systems in the finance department, and collaborate closely with internal departments, tax advisors, and auditors.

Requirements

  • Solid professional experience in financial accounting as well as accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Ideally, initial practical experience in controlling.
  • Proficient use of ERP and financial accounting systems is part of your daily work.
  • Strong affinity for numbers and analytical thinking, with a solution-oriented approach.
  • Careful, structured, and independent way of working.
  • Reliable and punctual work ethic, taking responsibility for your tasks.
  • Integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Team player with open and appreciative collaboration.
  • Effective communication skills for professional exchange with departments, tax advisors, and auditors.
  • Confident communication in German.
