About the Role

The Low-Income Housing Manager coordinates admissions for Low Income Chapel Court Apartments and Chapel Court Living. Responsibilities include conducting tours, managing inquiries, maintaining the waiting list, counseling families, updating admission packets, certifying households, providing case management post-hospitalization, and marketing services to the healthcare community and public.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with other departments and senior service providers.
  • Facilitate engagement opportunities at Chapel Court with the Life Enrichment team.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive culture.
  • Develop monthly activity calendars and bulletin boards for residents.
  • Contact new tenants to assess abilities, needs, and activity choices.
  • Coordinate and lead Resident Council meetings.
  • Work with the Volunteer Coordinator for community engagement.
  • Oversee front desk, life enrichment, common grounds, and transportation staff.
  • Manage all new tenant and recertification tenant files and paperwork.
  • Certify/re-certify households in the Montana Board of Housing Certification on Line (COL) system.
  • Create, maintain, and monitor client files for compliance.
  • Prepare program documentation, including monthly and annual reports.
  • Complete and review move-in files for accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate with maintenance regarding move-outs, work orders, and tenant charges.
  • Conduct unit inspections to ensure program compliance.
  • Ensure property is maintained in good condition, free of hazards.
  • Resolve tenant issues and complaints promptly.
  • Issue notices for lease violations.
  • Issue group communications to tenants regarding site/building information.
  • Market Chapel Court within the community and keep MT Housing Search updated.
  • Respond to leads promptly, providing materials and applications.
  • Provide tours to prospective tenants.
  • Monitor census at Chapel Court and report to administration.
  • Manage the waitlist according to tenant selection criteria and fair housing standards.
  • Track available and upcoming rooms and initiate applications.
  • Update the campus case management list with case management team designees.
  • Maintain training requirements for Fair Housing and LIHTC certifications.
  • Obeys safety rules.
  • Identifies, reports, and/or corrects safety hazards.
  • Attends mandatory safety in-services.
  • Supports the Eden Alternative philosophy.
  • Follows St. John’s Guidelines for Customer Service.
  • Follows policy and procedures on TB testing.
  • Follows policy and procedures on annual influenza vaccinations.
  • Completes all mandatory training.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with residents, families, staff, physicians, and the community.
  • Team-oriented approach.

  • Requires minimal lifting.
  • Requires moderate bending, standing, and reaching.
