About the Role

The Senior HR Business Partner serves as the strategic people partner to Executive Leadership Team (ELT) leaders and their functions, translating business strategy into clear people priorities to enhance organizational performance, leadership capability, workforce effectiveness, and employee experience. This role collaborates with senior leaders and HR centers of excellence to develop and implement integrated people plans that align enterprise strategies with functional business objectives, enabling leaders to build high-performing teams through workforce planning, organizational design, talent management, leadership coaching, and change leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a trusted advisor to ELT leaders and senior leadership on people, workforce, and organizational matters.
  • Aligns people strategy with business objectives and functional priorities.
  • Influences leadership decisions using data, insights, and commercial understanding.
  • Builds strong partnerships with leaders to proactively identify opportunities and address organizational challenges.
  • Balances enterprise priorities with functional business needs to deliver practical people solutions.
  • Develops and executes clear, measurable people plans aligned to business strategy.
  • Translates enterprise people priorities into functional actions and outcomes.
  • Establishes meaningful workforce and people metrics to track progress and impact.
  • Partners with leaders to identify priorities that improve business, team, and leadership performance.
  • Ensures people initiatives directly contribute to business objectives.
  • Measures and evaluates the effectiveness of people initiatives and interventions.
  • Leads workforce planning activities to identify future workforce requirements and capability needs.
  • Drives talent reviews, succession planning, and leadership pipeline development.
  • Supports leaders in identifying, developing, and retaining critical talent.
  • Provides insights on workforce risks and opportunities.
  • Strengthens internal mobility, career pathways, and long-term capability planning.
  • Coaches senior leaders to build high-performing, accountable, and inclusive teams.
  • Facilitates leadership effectiveness and team effectiveness interventions.
  • Supports leaders in improving employee engagement, culture, and performance outcomes.
  • Builds leadership capability through focused development and coaching initiatives.
  • Strengthens collaboration, alignment, and accountability across leadership teams.
  • Leads organizational design initiatives to improve effectiveness, scalability, and performance.
  • Assesses organizational impacts, risks, and readiness for change.
  • Partners with leaders to successfully implement and sustain change initiatives.
  • Ensures changes deliver both people and business outcomes.
  • Leads the implementation of enterprise people programs and frameworks within the function.
  • Partners with Centres of Excellence to embed talent, performance, reward, engagement, and capability initiatives.
  • Acts as the bridge between the business and specialist HR teams.
  • Ensures consistent application of people policies, frameworks, and practices.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve adoption and effectiveness of enterprise programs.
  • Provides coaching, guidance, and support to HR Business Partners.
  • Shares best practices and strengthens business partnering capability across the People team.
  • Supports consistency in service delivery and stakeholder management.
  • Oversees complex, high-risk employee relations matters in partnership with legal and ER Manager.

Requirements

  • 8+ years' experience in Human Resources, including significant HR Business Partnering experience in a complex organization.
  • Proven experience partnering with senior leaders and executive stakeholders.
  • Experience leading workforce planning, organizational design, and change initiatives.
  • Strong background in talent management, succession planning, and leadership development.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to connect people strategies to business outcomes.
  • Excellent coaching, consulting, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to analyze workforce data and translate insights into meaningful actions.
  • Strong project management and change leadership skills.
  • Strong understanding of contemporary HR practices and employment legislation.
  • Knowledge of organizational development, workforce planning, and talent frameworks.
  • Experience working within matrixed or large-scale organizations is highly desirable.
  • Trusted advisor with strong credibility and business partnership skills.
  • Strategic thinker who can balance long-term planning with operational execution.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable operating in complex, fast-paced environments.
  • Collaborative and influential, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
