About the Role
The UPS Store Associate is responsible for assisting customers and delivering exceptional service. This role involves managing package shipments, operating various office equipment, and becoming an expert in services and products to advise customers.
Responsibilities
- Assist and deliver exceptional service to all customers.
- Receive and process packages for courier shipment.
- Operate copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, and point-of-sale devices.
- Become an expert in services, products, and value options to advise customers.
- Deliver outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries.
- Complete Notary certification and provide notary services.
- Practice good listening skills with customers, team members, and leadership.
- Take ownership of customer shipping needs and offer viable solutions.
- Learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends.
- Operate all equipment, software, and devices expertly and teach others.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous retail customer service experience preferred.
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Adobe Suites, and internet proficiency).
- Outstanding phone skills and communication skills (verbal, written, spelling, math).
- Prompt, dependable, and responsible.
- Able to safely lift 40+ pounds.
- Willing and able to work 15-30 hours per week.
- Must be available to cover closing and weekend shifts as needed.
