Join Westpac as an Automation Engineer within the UNITE Program, shaping the future of data solution development and delivery. This role focuses on designing and building automation tools to enhance platform speed, safety, and usability, while working with modern coding languages and AI-driven tools.
Responsibilities
- Design and build automation tools that remove manual effort from development and testing.
- Turn complex problems into elegant automated solutions.
- Code, integrate APIs, and improve CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure built solutions are secure, scalable, and production-ready.
- Utilize modern coding languages and emerging AI-driven tools to accelerate delivery.
- Work autonomously while being part of a supportive engineering squad.
Requirements
- Strong experience building software using Python, Java, Go, or similar languages.
- Hands-on experience designing and delivering automation solutions in production environments.
- Confidence working with CI/CD tooling, APIs, and integration patterns.
- Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in data engineering or platform-focused teams.
