About the Role
Own the experimentation and data platform end-to-end, from the research UI down to the data infrastructure, models, and compute. This platform powers the data and strategy behind market operations, including battery optimization, DART/PTP, and CRR/FTR trading. This role involves building and shipping directly with end-users in a lean team with high individual responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Own the experimentation and data platform end-to-end.
- Build an experimentation platform to run thousands of backtests and simulations in parallel.
- Develop a data platform with pipelines for market, weather, forecast, and asset data.
- Create a forecast platform to generate forecasts for strategies.
- Provide strategy development support and management tools.
- Ensure strategies are versioned and traceable from research to live trading.
- Implement CI/CD for routine and reversible shipping.
Requirements
- 5+ years building production systems, including taking a system from zero to running.
- Comfortable owning the experimentation platform from UI through data infrastructure, compute orchestration, and backtesting engines.
- Strong product ownership skills, able to identify and address bottlenecks for users.
- Ability to collaborate tightly with quants and traders, gathering requirements directly.
- Directness and an appetite for learning new domains.
- Comfort with the full stack of an experimentation platform: data ingestion/storage, reproducible research environments, versioning, and observability.
- An appetite for intensity and a fast-paced environment.
