About the Role

Join Worldwide Flight Services and contribute to the safe and secure delivery of cargo, luggage, and business-to-customer shipments, ensuring on-time flights. We operate in 227 airport locations across 27 countries on 5 continents, leading the industry with our expert teams.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload cargo (mail, express, company material) onto and off aircraft.
• Transport cargo between aircraft and to designated areas.
• Receive, deliver, and handle freight and company material at docks and baggage rooms.
• Complete necessary forms and messages related to job functions.
• Transport furnishings and supplies to and from aircraft.
• Assist in loading, unloading, and racking drums.
• Perform aircraft de-icing, clear windshields, and assist with pushback/towing operations.
• Connect and remove ground power and start units.
• Perform routine cleaning of work areas, ramps, and facilities.
• Assist in monitoring facility security and report any breaches or suspicious activities.
• Comply with WFS site security procedures.
• Load and unload aircraft cargo weighing up to 70 lbs. within confined areas.
• Push, pull, and position loaded containers weighing up to 3,200 lbs. on rollers.
• Drive vehicles with gross weights of 3,000 to 80,000 lbs. in congested airport areas.
• Engage in aircraft push-out and towing operations, including communication with the cockpit.
• Read 'off-load' sheets to determine cargo destination.
• De-ice aircraft at heights up to 80 ft., spraying exterior surfaces with glycol.
• Lift and hold aircraft nose during de-icing.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to successfully communicate with others.

Skills

• Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.
• Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and days off.
• Ability to work in a high-noise level environment.
• Ability to pull, push, and lift bags weighing up to 70 lbs.
• Depth perception.
• Ability to distinguish colors (red, green, yellow).
