About the Role
Century Linen and Uniform is seeking a Tier 1 - Maintenance Mechanic to take full ownership of complex mechanical and electrical failures, diagnose root causes, and execute repairs with high confidence and minimal supervision. You will manage and troubleshoot PLCs and VFDs, oversee the preventative maintenance schedule, act as the lead technical authority during equipment failures, and identify mechanical bottlenecks to improve machine reliability and safety.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of complex mechanical and electrical failures.
- Diagnose root causes and execute repairs with high confidence and minimal supervision.
- Manage and troubleshoot PLCs and VFDs.
- Oversee the preventative maintenance schedule, moving beyond basic "check-ups" to true predictive maintenance.
- Act as the lead technical authority during equipment failures, making high-pressure decisions to restore production safely and efficiently.
- Identify mechanical bottlenecks and implement engineering solutions to improve machine reliability and safety.
Requirements
- 5+ years in industrial maintenance or a heavy mechanical/electrical field.
- Ability to read schematics.
- Ability to troubleshoot 3-phase power, control circuits, and automation components.
- Ability to learn quickly.
- Experience with welding or fabrication is a plus.
