About the Role
We are seeking an ambitious Analyst with training and ideally some hands-on experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, and Statistical Analytics, who is driven to produce high-quality, impactful work. This role offers the opportunity to deepen and widen data analytics and modeling skills, gain client and business development experience, and play a significant role in a growing team with ambitious future plans.
Responsibilities
- Extract data from various systems including accounting, operational, HR, and web databases using data extraction tools, custom coding, API connectors, and other techniques.
- Mine, analyze, and model large datasets to define database structure and develop custom data warehouses and algorithms.
- Perform comprehensive data manipulations and transformations using SQL to clean data and reorganize datasets.
- Utilize predictive modeling to assist in estimating revenue generation and other business outcomes.
- Prepare client outputs such as business reporting packages, financial dashboards, and operational performance trackers using data visualization tools.
- Coordinate with client teams to implement models and develop processes/tools to monitor system performance and data accuracy.
- Develop financial and data analyses providing actionable insights to management through spreadsheets.
- Manage client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and identifying opportunities for additional services.
- Assist with proposals, marketing material development, white paper and blog writing, and dissemination of marketing materials as needed based on available billable work.
Requirements
- A Bachelor degree in a relevant discipline (computer science, mathematics, statistics, engineering, science) or equivalent work experience/projects with a non-related Bachelor's degree.
- Experience using programming languages (C#, R, Python, or other) to manipulate data and derive insights from large datasets.
- Deep understanding of relational databases and hands-on experience with MySQL and/or SQL.
- Hands-on experience with Excel Lookup functions, Pivots, and VBA Macros.
- Experience with data analysis and machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.).
- Intellectual curiosity and passion for learning about new industries and businesses.
- Ability to take ownership of responsibilities and see them through to completion.
- Ability to work independently and manage time, multiple tasks, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Strong dedication to the team and excellent work ethic.
- Enthusiasm for going above and beyond to ensure client business goals are achieved.
- Desire to contribute to the firm long-term, with an understanding that loyalty and hard work will be recognized.
