About the Role
As an Associate Environmental Scientist, you'll lead the delivery of contaminated land projects from investigation through to remediation, providing trusted technical advice while supporting the continued growth of our people and clients. You'll play a key role in delivering successful project outcomes, developing long-term client relationships and fostering technical excellence across the team.
Responsibilities
- Lead contaminated land investigations, including soil, groundwater and vapour assessments.
- Provide technical leadership, review and advice across complex contaminated land and remediation projects.
- Manage project performance, including budgets, schedules, resources and risk.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships while acting as a trusted advisor.
- Prepare and review technical reports and recommendations in accordance with relevant legislation, standards and guidelines.
- Lead and support remediation planning and implementation activities.
- Mentor and develop junior team members while promoting a strong safety and quality culture.
- Support business development activities, including proposals, pursuits and identifying opportunities to grow client relationships.
Requirements
- At least 7 years' experience in contaminated land assessment, remediation and environmental consulting.
- Strong understanding of NSW contaminated land legislation, frameworks and regulatory processes.
- Proven experience managing project risk, budgets, schedules and delivery on substantial projects.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and review high-quality technical reports and provide practical client-focused advice.
- Experience developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Proven capability supervising, mentoring and developing environmental professionals and field teams.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to guide clients through regulatory processes and complex technical challenges.
