About the Role
Haskell is seeking a Designer with experience in Plant3D and Revit to perform design, detailing, and analysis under supervision.
Responsibilities
- Creates 2D and 3D technical drawings and models using CAD systems like AutoCAD and Revit.
- Applies discipline design and detailing fundamentals in developing designs.
- Produces organized, accurate, and clear drawings from various instructions.
- Checks own work to minimize deficiencies, errors, and omissions.
- Coordinates with the Engineering department to understand process design.
- Assists with the production of specifications and other design process standards.
- Performs assigned analysis or calculations.
- Checks shop drawings and submittals for conformance with contract documents.
- Advises and assists construction personnel in interpreting construction documents.
- Provides solutions to field problems, prepares field orders, addenda, and record drawings.
- Assists in site surveys, final design, and as-builts.
- Assists by providing required information on a timely basis and keeping supervisor apprised of progress.
- Maintains orderly work files, prepares clear memos/correspondence, and communicates status with disciplines.
- Assists with drawing planning, management, and adherence to schedule.
- Designs projects within the provided design budget and tracks additional hours utilized.
- Coordinates work with other disciplines to minimize deficiencies, errors, and omissions.
- Participates in professional community and trade organizations within the discipline.
- Trains Designers formally and informally within the specific discipline.
- Travels as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience in applicable design work is desirable.
- Proficient in the use of current technology in the discipline.
- Experience in several CAD programs, specifically AutoCAD Plant 3D.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate light to medium weights (10-50 pounds).
- Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp.
- Requires visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment, and read application/form information.
- Frequently required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
