About the Role
The Technician I - DAS will be responsible for a variety of field service functions, including installing antennas, repeaters, head-end equipment, and other DAS devices, while learning to complete sweep, PIM, and fiber testing.
Responsibilities
- Install DAS wireless equipment using external and internal antennas, coaxial cable, fiber optic cable, CAT 5 cable, and other components to NEC standards at customer job sites.
- Commission and optimize DAS and signal booster equipment for public safety installations using manufacturer procedures and field equipment.
- Conduct Pre & Post install RF signal readings per fire code requirements.
- Perform cable sweep testing (VSWR, RL, DTF, PIM) using test equipment.
- Troubleshoot existing systems to identify and correct failures or configuration issues.
- Terminate wall and ceiling mounted components.
- Complete Sweep, PIM, and Fiber testing.
- Complete job-related documentation and record keeping.
- Communicate and coordinate with customers and the company regarding safety, local code, and installation requirements.
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

- Must be able to see and distinguish colors, read small print, and hear audible signals.
- Must be able to travel 50% to 75% within and outside the branch territory.
- Regular attendance is mandatory.
- Possess or obtain certifications from manufacturers and be willing to learn new systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a professional manner at all job sites.
