About the Role
The Cage Wash Attendant is primarily responsible for cage sanitation, physical plant maintenance, and the safe operation of sanitation equipment within the Comparative Bioscience Center.
Responsibilities
- Operate machinery, including laundry, autoclaves, equipment washers, and hoists.
- Move equipment throughout the facility.
- Maintain clean conditions within the cage wash area.
- Maintain clean hallways by removing dirty equipment to the cage-wash area for processing.
- Maintain ample clean autoclave supplies.
- Contribute to the collection of waste.
- Mop floors.
- Change light bulbs.
- Restock supplies.
- Fulfill appropriate requests.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Must have good communication skills.
- Must be able to push or pull weight bearing wheeled carts weighing approximately 500 lbs.
- Must have the lifting capability of approximately 50 lbs.
- Requirements are subject to change as a result of facility needs.
Education Level
- HS Diploma/GED required.
Salary/Compensations
- USD $42,500.00/Yr.
