About the Role
Central Security Service Bureau LLC is seeking a NYS Certified Security Guard Instructor in White Plains, NY, to deliver high-quality, state-approved training and shape the next generation of security professionals.
Responsibilities
- Deliver NYS-approved security guard training courses in compliance with state regulations
- Instruct students on security protocols, legal powers of arrest, fire safety, and emergency procedures
- Develop and update course materials to align with current NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) standards
- Evaluate and assess student performance through written and practical examinations
- Maintain accurate training records, attendance logs, and certification documentation
- Foster a professional and engaging classroom environment for adult learners
- Stay current with changes in NYS security guard laws, regulations, and best practices
Requirements
- Active NYS DCJS Certified Security Guard Instructor license required
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of NYS security guard training curriculum and DCJS compliance requirements
- Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills
- Ability to engage and motivate adult learners from diverse backgrounds
- Reliable, professional, and punctual with strong attention to detail
- Must be able to pass a background check
