About the Role

Manage technology procurement for Alter Domus, overseeing a significant portion of the company's €90M annual spend across various technology categories. This role involves setting and executing sourcing strategies, driving commercial value, and strengthening vendor relationships to improve margins and optimize costs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including spend and market analysis, RFP preparation, bid assessment, supplier negotiation, and contract support for complex, multi-year technology tenders.
  • Apply commercial acumen and negotiation skills to secure best total value and optimal total cost of ownership across various licensing, subscription, and service models.
  • Leverage expert knowledge of the technology supply market and commercial models to optimize commercial and vendor relationships.
  • Implement KPIs and measurement practices to ensure best-in-class supplier agreements and proactively address issues with strategic technology suppliers.
  • Build categories and long-term strategic plans while also delivering operationally.
  • Manage all aspects of spend management for assigned categories, including market analysis, negotiation, renewal management, and supplier selection.
  • Partner with key senior stakeholders across Technology, Risk, People, Finance, Legal, and other global functions to understand requirements and deliver robust procurement processes.
  • Develop and implement optimal strategic sourcing strategies across all global functions to drive margin improvements.
  • Build trusted, collaborative relationships across the organization, acting as a solutions-oriented business partner to Technology leadership.
  • Contribute to Procurement Transformation through the adoption of new processes, tools, and analytics.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the technology supply market and commercial models to support informed decision-making.
  • Deliver a compliant procurement process with accurate savings tracking and financial forecasting.
  • Support the development of procurement documentation, playbooks, and best practices.
  • Ensure effective contract management, supplier performance management, and service level governance across the technology vendor base.
  • Promote and build Alter Domus' brand and culture internally and externally.
  • Support employee development and engagement, promoting the Employer Value Proposition.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Drive a culture of compliance and risk control.
  • Promote ethical business practices and ensure high Environmental, Sustainability, and Governance (ESG) standards.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in procurement roles, ideally within financial services or professional services.
  • Strong knowledge of technology categories including software and SaaS, cloud and infrastructure, IT and managed services, telecoms, and data.
  • Solid grasp of technology licensing and commercial models.
  • Understanding of Category Management and strategic procurement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, commercial, and negotiation capabilities.
  • Experience negotiating IT and services contracts alongside Legal and Risk.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational delivery.
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders and managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Results and action-oriented with a demonstrated ability to implement and drive projects, processes, and improvements in a multinational environment.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, communicate clearly, and build trust quickly.
