About the Role
Lightspeed is seeking a Product Marketing Manager, Golf to champion Lightspeed Golf and help bring our product investment to market. You will co-own the go-to-market strategy, positioning, messaging, and adoption efforts for Lightspeed Golf, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure product launches and customer programs improve adoption, sales effectiveness, retention, and customer lifetime value. This role serves as the connection point between golf customers, product teams, and the go-to-market organization, translating customer needs into compelling product stories and actionable recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Co-own positioning and messaging for Lightspeed Golf, including operator and golfer value propositions.
- Lead go-to-market planning and execution for product launches, feature enhancements, migrations, and announcements.
- Build launch plans connecting product strategy to marketing campaigns, sales enablement, customer communications, and post-launch adoption.
- Partner with Product to identify customer pain points, improve the golf operator journey, and influence product priorities.
- Develop customer adoption, activation, cross-sell, and expansion programs to increase product usage, retention, and customer lifetime value.
- Drive payments attach, adoption of revenue-generating products/services, and awareness of new/existing Golf capabilities.
- Establish feedback loops with Sales, Support, Customer Success, and Partnerships to integrate customer insights into messaging, campaigns, and the product roadmap.
- Conduct ongoing market, customer, and competitive research, including interviews, surveys, win/loss analysis, and feedback.
- Develop and maintain Golf ICP, persona, segmentation, and customer journey insights.
- Monitor the competitive landscape and translate intelligence into positioning, sales guidance, and strategic recommendations.
- Partner with Sales and Enablement to create sales collateral such as pitch decks, battlecards, and training materials.
- Collaborate with Integrated Marketing, Content, Design, PR, Events, and Partnerships to develop campaigns and content.
- Act as a product and industry subject matter expert for marketing, communications, and customer-facing teams.
- Measure and communicate the impact of launches and customer programs across key business metrics.
- Establish and improve repeatable product marketing processes for the Golf business.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in product marketing, growth marketing, lifecycle marketing, or a comparable go-to-market role, ideally in B2B or B2B2C SaaS.
- Experience developing positioning, messaging, launch plans, sales enablement, and customer marketing programs.
- Strong project management skills and ability to independently lead work from strategy through execution.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights into clear recommendations.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Marketing, Support, Customer Success, or Partnerships teams.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Comfort navigating ambiguity, prioritizing competing requests, and building structure where processes are still developing.
- A proactive, analytical, and collaborative working style.
- Curiosity about customer needs and a growth mindset focused on continuous improvement.
