About the Role

The Senior Financial Analyst will serve as a key business partner, responsible for financial analysis, report maintenance, and providing insights into company data. This role focuses on developing methodologies to assess the impact of initiatives on retail stores and expenses, particularly G&A expenses, and analyzing trends to prepare executive-level reports.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a business partner to Retail, Construction, and G&A teams.
  • Manage expense control, reporting, and analysis.
  • Provide financial guidance focused on investment optimization and maximizing retail store ROIs.
  • Identify business risks and opportunities, providing actionable analysis.
  • Monitor and control monthly Retail KPIs in collaboration with COO and Retail Directors.
  • Provide monthly sales targets for Retail stores aligned with budgets.
  • Calculate monthly and quarterly sales bonuses for Retail store teams.
  • Communicate Labor hours budget and ensure productivity optimization in stores.
  • Track and report on CAPEX spend versus ROI and budget.
  • Participate in the monthly accounting close process, including liaising with Accounting for expense accruals.
  • Review monthly and YTD P&Ls, researching variances to Budget/Forecast and LY.
  • Generate reporting and conduct month-end meetings with stakeholders to review results and variances.
  • Approve Purchase Requisitions for relevant departments and thresholds, ensuring accuracy against Budget/Forecast.
  • Provide guidance on Expense coding and allocation according to Accounting Rules.
  • Assist in the annual P&L Budget and quarterly Forecast preparation.
  • Create and distribute weekly and monthly reports to management.
  • Analyze business results to identify key takeaways, build consensus for cost control initiatives, and foster understanding.
  • Act as the primary resource for Reporting and Analysis development on the Financial Reporting tool TM1.
  • Manage and deliver all ad hoc analysis.
  • Work effectively in a team environment.
  • Perform other duties or projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • BS in Finance, Accounting, or other quantitative field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and modeling.
  • Retail/Wholesale experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power Point, Power BI, and other MS applications.
  • Exposure to SAP or other comparable ERP systems.
