About the Role
The Business Systems & Tooling (BS&T) team builds and operates internal systems for Betterment's B2B businesses. This role focuses on the interface between BS&T and its stakeholders, requiring deep immersion in stakeholder teams to proactively identify opportunities and translate needs into actionable plans and roadmaps. The ideal candidate is comfortable bridging business and technical domains, turning ambiguity into a clear plan.
Responsibilities
- Embed with stakeholder teams to understand processes, tools, and pain points.
- Proactively identify opportunities for tooling improvements, automation, and best practices.
- Maintain an updated view of stakeholder priorities and BS&T's capacity.
- Act as the first point of contact for new stakeholder requests.
- Translate stakeholder needs into scoped, documented tasks with clear success criteria.
- Own and communicate the BS&T roadmap, making prioritization decisions transparent.
- Balance urgent stakeholder priorities with high-value quality-of-life improvements.
- Run intake, backlog grooming, and status communication processes.
- Stay current on the salestech landscape and evaluate emerging tools.
- Support vendor assessments, procurement, and renewal processes.
- Help stakeholders evaluate build-vs-buy tradeoffs.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product management, technical program management, business systems analysis, or a similar role.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce and the surrounding GTM systems ecosystem.
- Experience at a company with a complex, multi-product go-to-market strategy.
- Demonstrated ability to turn ambiguous stakeholder requests into scoped, prioritized, well-documented work.
- Experience supporting vendor evaluation, procurement, or renewal processes is a strong plus.
- Builds trust quickly with both business stakeholders and engineers.
- Communicates fluently with both business and technical teams.
- Comfortable making prioritization tradeoffs transparent.
- Proactive by default, identifying opportunities and proposing solutions.
- Strong writer and documenter.
- Thrives in a small team where process is yours to design.
