About the Role
The Design Assistant supports the Senior Designer in executing branded Cold Weather and Fashion Accessories for Steve Madden. This role is crucial for maintaining brand aesthetic and managing design projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage sample closet and pull samples for customers.
- Assist in the creative design of accessories, focusing on quality, pattern, and color aligned with trend direction.
- Create and manage tracking sheets for samples across multiple seasons.
- Create CADs using Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Communicate directly with factories and internal cross-functional teams.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related field.
- Proficient in Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
