About the Role
As a (Senior) Manager IT - Operations & ICT Governance (m/w/d), you will be responsible for BIT Capital's entire IT operations and serve as the operational interface to the ICT risk function under DORA. You will define and manage internal vs. external IT responsibilities, taking overall accountability for a complex IT infrastructure in a regulated environment and shaping its future development. Your role focuses on ensuring stable and secure IT infrastructure operations (clients, network, cloud, SaaS), managing endpoint, identity, and security, acting as the operational ICT risk officer, defining a hybrid sourcing model, developing IT support and license management, and driving AI automation projects in compliance with DORA.
Responsibilities
- Responsibility for the stable and secure operation of IT infrastructure: clients, network, cloud, and Software-as-a-Service.
- Management of IT end devices and access, including onboarding and offboarding.
- Ensuring technical security: patch, vulnerability, and backup management, monitoring, and logging.
- Supporting security audits and penetration tests.
- Acting as the operational ICT risk officer and central point of contact for ICT risk topics.
- Maintaining the information register for ICT third-party providers.
- Providing input for incident classification and reportable incidents.
- Supporting resilience, business continuity, and recovery tests.

- Managing IT service providers and cloud providers.
- Actively developing IT support, license management, and documentation of the IT landscape.
- Technically completing measures from ICT risk management.
- Driving AI automation projects in collaboration with the Chief AI Officer and business units.
- Ensuring AI automation projects are secure and DORA-compliant within the regulated environment.
Requirements
- Several years of experience in IT operations or IT administration, ideally in a regulated environment (financial background is a plus).
- Sound knowledge in IT security: identity and endpoint management, network fundamentals, vulnerability and patch management.
- Familiarity with DORA and standards like ISO 27001 is a plus.
- Experience in managing external IT service providers and cloud/SaaS environments.
- Structured, documentation-oriented approach to work.
- Ability to connect technical IT with compliance/risk.
- Completed degree in (Business) Informatics or Information Security, or a comparable qualification.
