About the Role

HSS Rehab and Performance is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our Pediatric Rehabilitation Team. This role involves performing pediatric outpatient evaluations and treatment for young patients with diverse speech, language, and feeding conditions, collaborating with physical and occupational therapists, and educating patients/families on care plans and rehabilitation techniques. The position also includes shared team coverage for bedside swallow assessments and inpatient treatment in the acute care unit for pediatric and adult populations.

Responsibilities

Perform pediatric outpatient evaluations and treatment for patients with speech, language, and feeding conditions.
Collaborate with pediatric physical and occupational therapists.
Educate patients and families on plan of care and rehabilitation techniques.
Engage in shared team coverage for bedside swallow assessments and inpatient treatment within the acute care unit for pediatric and adult populations.

Requirements

Certification from the American Speech and Hearing Association.
NYS Certification as Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD).
New York State license SLP licensure.

$127,315.50 - $147,303.00
