About the Role

SP Industries, an ATS Company, is seeking motivated, hands-on individuals to join their team as Assemblers. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex scientific and pharmaceutical equipment used globally, with training provided for candidates possessing strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn. It's a great opportunity for technical school graduates looking to build a long-term career in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical systems, components, and subassemblies.
  • Read and work from drawings, work instructions, and process documentation.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, fixtures, drills, saws, and other manufacturing equipment.
  • Install and align piping, brackets, assemblies, and components.
  • Perform brazing, soldering, polishing, painting, and other fabrication tasks.
  • Ensure products meet quality and performance standards.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as carts, forklifts, and cranes.
  • Complete production documentation accurately and on time.
  • Work in compliance with divisional health, safety and environmental procedures.
  • Refrain from removing or altering safety devices or guarding unless hazardous energies are controlled through lockout-tagout methods.
  • Report any unsafe conditions or unsafe acts.
  • Report defects in any equipment or protective device.
  • Ensure that the required protective equipment is used for the assigned tasks.
  • Attend all required health, safety and environmental training.
  • Report any accidents/incidents to supervisor.
  • Assist in investigating accidents/incidents.
  • Refrain from engaging in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to read drawings and follow work instructions.
