About the Role

Clio is seeking a Staff Software Developer passionate about building innovative solutions and facing new challenges. This role involves contributing to the Fintech portfolio, focusing on increasing billing adoption and launching new financial products for the Mid-Market segment.

Responsibilities

Act as a technical stakeholder for multiple projects and teams.
Partner with development managers to define the technical roadmap.
Drive the multi-year technical strategy and architectural direction.
Identify and resolve technical challenges that unblock product opportunities.
Orchestrate AI agents to architect, review, and write high-quality, well-tested code.
Collaborate with developers to solve complex problems and provide elegant solutions.
Recognize and implement simple solutions when appropriate.
Simplify coding patterns, interfaces, and abstractions.
Utilize a variety of technologies, learn new skills, and embrace challenges.
Review and provide feedback on peer code.
Teach and learn from colleagues, providing and receiving constructive feedback.

Requirements

Experience in software development, specifically building web applications at scale.
Ability to master new technologies quickly and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
Demonstrated success in mentorship using Agile processes and with large-scale SaaS products.
Diverse knowledge base to help teams solve complex technical problems.
Portfolio of successful projects and lessons learned from failed projects.
Excellent communication skills and ability to build trusted relationships.
Experience building high-throughput and distributed systems processing Invoicing, Payments, or Financial Products like Payroll.
