About the Role

The Manager, Consumer Research will be responsible for utilizing primary and secondary market research and data analysis to provide an in-depth understanding of the market, product performance, customers, and competitors across the Foot Locker inc. brand portfolio. The ideal candidate will have strong project management and communication skills, analytical aptitude, and a passion for putting the customer first.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct primary and secondary market research using internal resources and vendor partners.
  • Execute quantitative and qualitative research studies from start to finish.
  • Participate in framing business questions, identifying information needs, and developing research/data analysis plans.
  • Manage and distribute Market Share data and Brand Health study results.
  • Manage the research process to deliver an objective understanding of customers, competitors, product performance, and market developments.
  • Prepare and present market size, penetration, and market share data to internal teams.
  • Identify and develop data sources to predict trends in market dynamics, competition, and customers.
  • Engage in proactive and effective interaction with internal marketing and other clients.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of Market Research experience, preferably in a Retail or Consumer Service industry.
  • Bachelors in Marketing, Psychology or Communications.
  • Self-starter able to navigate a start-up environment within a matrixed organization.
  • Organized and an effective project manager.
  • Highly analytical with exceptional communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization, both locally and remotely.
  • Strong computer skills, especially MS Office applications.
  • Familiarity with syndicated data and insights providers (Circana, Statista, YPulse, etc.) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with survey and tools (Qualtrics, Survey Monkey, DisplayR, etc.) is a plus.
  • Online community management is a plus.
  • Cameras must be on for all virtual interviews.
  • AI tools are strictly prohibited during interviews or assessments.
