About the Role

Provide accounting and analytical support to maximize the financial return for the facility. Analyze performance and recommend actions needed to achieve operational and management objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze performance and recommend actions needed to maximize financial return.
  • Prepare and analyze operational results, trends, customer profitability, capital projects, incentive plans, budgets, forecasts, and special projects.
  • Refine processes to improve accounting efficiencies and document processes.
  • Maintain and enhance internal control, accounting policy, and procedures.
  • Provide financial analysis, interpreting professional standards, company policies, and processes.
  • Prepare journal vouchers and participate in month-end close.
  • Perform daily financial activities of the plant.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of daily, weekly, and monthly responsibilities and reports.
  • Perform data entry and utilize systems for research and analysis.
  • Complete various reporting requirements.
  • Adhere to financial policies and procedures outlined in financial policies and capital investment manuals.
  • Ensure applicable internal controls are followed.
  • Investigate, review, and evaluate financial transactions and recommend appropriate treatment.
  • Review and balance production hours entered into the payroll system.
  • Assist other facilities within the complex as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, business or related field required.
  • CPA or CMA a plus.
  • 5+ years of accounting and/or finance experience.
  • Work experience in a manufacturing facility highly desirable.
  • Corrugated, printing, packaging and/or related finance experience in a manufacturing environment highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of general business management principles, internal financial management, and industry business practices.
  • Demonstrated skills to influence peers and management.
  • Demonstrated effective communication with business leaders at various levels and functions.
