About the Role
Live Nation is seeking a General Ledger Accountant / Bilanzbuchhalter:in (x/w/m) for a permanent, full-time position at their Berlin-Mitte office. This role is ideal for someone with a strong affinity for complex business transactions and a desire to apply their accounting expertise in an international, dynamic industry.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for accounting for companies in Germany according to HGB and US GAAP.
- Preparation, booking, and verification of monthly, quarterly, and annual closing entries according to HGB and US GAAP.
- Creation and verification of monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Coordination of accounting with external tax advisors and, if necessary, project execution for bringing individual accounting in-house to Datev or Oracle EBS.
- Preparation of annual financial statements, including appendices, according to HGB independently and in collaboration with external tax advisors.
- Preparation of tax returns in collaboration with external tax advisors.
- Participation in internal and external audits (HGB, US GAAP, SOX, operational audits).
- Participation in cross-departmental projects and in the further development of existing processes and reporting structures.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Business Administration, preferably with a focus on Accounting, or a completed commercial apprenticeship with further training as a Bilanzbuchhalter:in.
- At least 1-2 years of professional experience in a comparable position or in a consulting environment (e.g., auditing, tax consulting).
- Good knowledge of HGB and German tax laws, ideally also experience with US GAAP.
- Very good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
- Previous experience with accounting and/or ERP software, ideally in Datev and/or Oracle EBS/Fusion.
- Careful, proactive work style, analytical thinking, clear communication, and willingness to take responsibility.
