About the Role
Live Nation is seeking a General Ledger Accountant / Bilanzbuchhalter:in (x/w/m) for a permanent, full-time position in Berlin-Mitte. This role is ideal for someone with a strong affinity for complex business transactions and a desire to apply their accounting expertise in an international, dynamic industry.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for accounting for German entities according to HGB and US GAAP.
- Prepare, book, and review monthly, quarterly, and annual closing entries according to HGB and US GAAP.
- Create and review monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Coordinate accounting with external tax advisors and potentially manage projects for in-house accounting consolidation into DATEV or Oracle EBS.
- Prepare annual financial statements, including appendices, according to HGB independently and in collaboration with external tax advisors.
- Prepare tax declarations in cooperation with external tax advisors.
- Participate in internal and external audits (HGB, US GAAP, SOX, operational audits).
- Contribute to cross-departmental projects and the further development of existing processes and reporting structures.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Business Administration, preferably with a focus on Accounting, or a completed commercial apprenticeship with further training as a Bilanzbuchhalter:in.
- Minimum 1-2 years of professional experience in a comparable position or in a consulting environment (e.g., auditing, tax consulting).
- Good knowledge of HGB and German tax laws, ideally with experience in US GAAP.
- Very good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
- Prior experience with accounting and/or ERP software, ideally DATEV and/or Oracle EBS/Fusion.
- Meticulous, proactive, analytical thinking, clear communication, and willingness to take responsibility.
