About the Role

As a Strategy & Operations Lead, you will be the operating spine of August as we scale. You will turn strategic priorities into shipped systems, build out the partnerships channel from the ground up, and run the discrete projects that don't fit anywhere else. This is not a coordination role — you report directly to the founders, take ambiguous priorities, decide what to do about them, and own the outcome.

Responsibilities

  • Build and own August's operating cadence, including the weekly product-to-GTM digest, sales-to-product loop, and monthly metrics review.
  • Source, structure, and close commercial partnerships with integration partners and distribution partners.
  • Run strategic sprints on high-leverage initiatives such as pricing, jurisdiction expansion, and new sales motions.
  • Partner with product, engineering, GTM, and legal teams to develop and implement new systems.
  • Track and report on partnership performance and operational metrics, providing insights for decision-making.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in strategy consulting, operations, BizOps, finance, or a high-performance startup in a Strategy & Ops or Chief-of-Staff seat.
  • Demonstrated ability to take an ambiguous brief and run it without supervision.
  • AI-native operating fluency, including experience building automations, agents, or internal tools.
  • Comfort with commercial deal structure and partnership negotiations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excitement about working in person at our NYC office.
