About the Role
As an Area Manager, you will lead a team of hourly employees, ensuring safety, quality, attendance, and performance standards are met. You will play a key part in maintaining customer expectations for timely and accurate deliveries within Amazon's Worldwide Operations network, specifically within the Rapid and Rural Logistics (R2L) organization focused on last-mile customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Support, mentor, and motivate your team
- Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
- Collaborate with support teams (Safety, Ops Integration, Loss Prevention, Human Resources) to meet business objectives
- Lift up to 49 pounds, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours
- Frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
- Continuously climb and descend stairs
- Work in environments with variable noise levels and temperatures
- Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and/or overnight shifts
- Work safely and cooperatively with others
- Adhere to standards of excellence despite stressful conditions
- Communicate effectively and respectfully to ensure exceptional customer service
- Follow all federal, state, and local laws and Company policies

Requirements
- 2+ years of employee and performance management experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Criminal history may have a direct, adverse, and negative relationship with some of the material job duties
