About the Role
We are seeking a YouTube Creator & Educator to establish and manage our YouTube channel. This role involves being on-screen, filming, editing, and utilizing tools to educate filmmakers, advertisers, and storytellers on generative AI applications. You will be responsible for the entire video production process, from concept to publication, within the company that develops the tools being taught. This position offers early access to products, direct collaboration with product teams, and significant creative freedom, focusing on craft and experimentation rather than mass content production.
Responsibilities
- Set the channel strategy with the creative team, including topics, formats, cadence, and audience, based on creator and marketer learning needs.
- Drive channel growth, watch time, and retention, iterating based on performance data.
- Write, film, edit, and finalize all video content, incorporating screen recordings, on-camera segments, and custom motion graphics.
- Utilize Runway's generative tools as a primary part of the workflow for both teaching and production.
- Develop tutorials focused on practical outcomes, such as producing a polished product ad, a low-budget short film, or a VFX shot, emphasizing production techniques over specific tool functions for a range of skill levels.
- Cultivate a viewer community, identify guest collaborators, and partner with Product and Marketing teams for product launches.
Requirements
- An active YouTube channel or a significant portfolio of published long-form video content.
- Expertise in editing and motion graphics (After Effects, Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, or similar) and a strong understanding of filmmaking fundamentals, including shooting, lighting, and directing.
- Advanced practical experience with Runway and proficiency in other generative AI video tools.
- A distinct perspective on filmmaking, advertising, or visual storytelling that is evident in the work and can be communicated effectively to an audience.
- The ability to manage the entire video production cycle independently, without a crew.
