About the Role
The Account Assistant is responsible for supporting the Account Executive in driving sales growth, operational excellence, and strategic account management across wholesale accounts. This role serves as a key business partner, providing analytical insights, managing order execution, supporting market activities, and building strong internal and external relationships. The successful candidate will quickly develop a deep understanding of the business, customer needs, product assortment, and sales strategies. This individual is highly organized, detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive, with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the achievement of total, comp and net sales targets.
- Participate in regular monitoring of the business and fully support sales driving initiatives.
- Analyze weekly, monthly, and seasonal business performance to identify risks and opportunities.
- Maintain account-specific reporting, style selling recaps, reorder recommendations, and trend analyses.
- Leverage retail metrics including sales, inventory, sell-through, margin, markdowns, and weeks of supply to support decision making.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to Account Executive and external customers.
- Maintain PO trackers, contract accuracy, and shipment visibility.
- Monitor shipping status, order extensions, delivery timelines, and operational exceptions.
- Monitor inventory availability and future supply to identify chase, replenishment, and reorder opportunities.
- Manage purchase order execution from order entry through shipment.
- Review open orders and inventory positions to maximize shipment potential and minimize fallout risk.
- Recommend style swaps or assortment adjustments based on performance and inventory availability.
- Follow through on key NAW strategies and specific account strategies.
- Knowledge of products and all Coach Standards.
- Prepare pre-market sales materials, demand planning tools, assortment grids, and account recaps.
- Support product presentations and client appointments during market.
- Assist with assortment building, visual selling tools, order capture, and buy analysis.
- Complete all post-market activities including order review, order confirmations, contract uploads, and any/ all updates to the line post-market.
- Establish strong working relationships with wholesale partners as well as internal partners.
- Develop a strong understanding of account strategies, customer needs, and market dynamics.
- Ownership of all day-to-day coordination, operational follow up, order management, monitor and track results and provide account communication.
- Align orders with allocations and confirm accuracy and timely receipt of all orders.
- Regularly monitor and ensure accuracy and proper visibility of on-line assortments.
- Deliver timely communication regarding orders, inventory availability, shipping updates, and business opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal teams including finance, merchandising, account services, marketing, and operations.
- Support the field through store visits, providing visual and training tools to ensure sales associates have knowledge of Coach’s key investments and strategies.
- Document and organize all seasonal sales/buying files and collaboration tools for efficient access.
- Partner with operations to ensure execution of systemic updates and 3rd party vendor invoicing.
- Understanding of how metrics work together to drive sales including sales, inventory, ST%, MD/Reg Price, Gross Margin.

Requirements
- Account Management background.
- Analytical skills and retail math knowledge.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, NuOrder and Skypad.
- Knowledge of SAP and Micro Strategy a plus.
- Customer service experience.
