About the Role
The purpose of this job is to clean, de-burr, polish, and grind metal items using hand tools or powered equipment.
Responsibilities
- De-burrs or polishes parts using a portable grinder or buffer.
- Holds parts against an abrasive belt or buff wheel to grind, polish, or buff the surface.
- Maintains individual production goals.
- Changes tools on power equipment.
- Applies abrasive compound or other dressing to facilitate polishing operations.
- May come in contact with hazardous chemicals.
- Proper disposal of waste such as recyclables, standard waste, hazardous waste, etc. is expected.
- Performs any other tasks as required to fulfill Lincoln Industries' Beliefs and Drivers.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Six months related experience.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Must be able to perform physical functions equivalent to Category A (High Labor Intensive Category).
