About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to design, deploy, operate, and troubleshoot mission-critical IP/MPLS and network security infrastructures. The successful candidate will possess strong expertise in service provider and utility-grade networks, hands-on experience with Nokia networking solutions, and deep technical knowledge of routing, switching, security, and network automation technologies. This role will be responsible for network architecture, implementation, optimization, operational support, and security management across complex enterprise and service provider environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support mission-critical IP/MPLS network infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced routing protocols including IS-IS, OSPF, and BGP.
- Deploy and manage MPLS technologies such as MPLS-TE, MPLS-TP, and Segment Routing (SR).
- Administer and support Nokia networking solutions and Nokia Network Services Platform (NSP) environments.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Palo Alto Firewalls and Panorama management platforms.
- Perform network monitoring, performance analysis, fault isolation, root cause analysis, and incident resolution.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including HLDs, LLDs, implementation plans, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network upgrades, migrations, security initiatives, and automation projects utilizing Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management tools.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years' hands-on experience with IP/MPLS networking, including design, deployment, and operational support.
- Deep expertise in routing protocols: IS-IS, OSPF, and BGP.
- Proven experience with MPLS technologies, including MPLS-TE, MPLS-TP, and Segment Routing (SR).
- Hands-on experience with Nokia 7250 IXR, 7705 SAR, 7210 SAS, and Nokia SR OS.
- Strong knowledge of EVPN, VPLS, VPWS, L2VPN, L3VPN, Carrier Ethernet, and QoS.
- Advanced skills in network troubleshooting, fault isolation, root cause analysis, and performance optimization.
- Experience in network architecture, solution design, implementation, migration, and operational support.
- Strong understanding of network security principles, best practices, and security-focused infrastructure design.
- Familiarity with network automation, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and configuration management tools is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional technical teams.
- Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation and design artifacts.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence.
