About the Role
A family in Brooklyn is seeking a part-time nanny for their 6-month-old baby. The role involves 16-20 hours per week, with potential for additional hours.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and nurturing infant care, including feeding (bottles and introducing solids/purees).
- Manage diaper changes and maintain hygiene.
- Handle baby laundry, bottle/pump part cleaning and sanitizing, and cleaning of toys and baby items.
- Maintain a clean and tidy environment.
- Engage the baby with age-appropriate activities.
- Provide outdoor time for the baby, such as walks.
- Offer recommendations for nursery items and daily routines.
- Carry out parents’ preferences.
- Maintain a calm and supportive environment.
- Encourage healthy sleep habits following AAP safe sleep guidelines.
- Maintain a log of pertinent information, including feedings and diaper changes.
Requirements
- 5+ years as a nanny for infants in private homes.
- Willing to travel via car service with the child to Manhattan 1-2 times per week.
- Commuting distance to Brooklyn.
- CPR and first aid certified, willing to renew before start date.
- Up-to-date vaccinations – Tdap, flu.
- Legal to work in the U.S.
