About the Role

Design and deliver backend and platform services that power AI agent workflows, including request/event ingestion, agent orchestration, and document/file handling. Contribute to CI/CD and progressive-delivery infrastructure for safe and continuous shipping of systems. Build and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code. Make architectural decisions focused on scalability, reliability, and maintainability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, uphold high engineering standards, and build observability into services. Strengthen monitoring, incident response, and root-cause analysis for production systems. Participate in an on-call rotation and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Experience designing, building, and operating backend systems in production
  • Strong proficiency in Python (FastAPI or similar) or another backend language
  • Experience in distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native development
  • Hands-on expertise with relational databases (PostgreSQL)
  • Hands-on expertise with caching/messaging systems (Redis)
  • Hands-on expertise with API design
  • Hands-on expertise with AWS
  • Container orchestration with Kubernetes (EKS)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline engineering
  • Experience with progressive/safe delivery patterns
  • Infrastructure-as-Code practices for managing cloud infrastructure
  • Hands-on experience with observability tooling (e.g. OpenTelemetry, Datadog)
  • Experience operating systems built on or integrating with LLM/Generative AI infrastructure is a strong plus
  • Strong system design, debugging, and performance optimization skills
