About the Role

Design and deliver backend and platform services that power AI agent workflows, including request/event ingestion, agent orchestration, and document/file handling. Contribute to CI/CD and progressive-delivery infrastructure for safe and continuous shipping of systems. Build and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code. Make architectural decisions focused on scalability, reliability, and maintainability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, uphold high engineering standards, and build observability into services. Strengthen monitoring, incident response, and root-cause analysis for production systems. Participate in an on-call rotation and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

4+ years of professional software engineering experience
Experience designing, building, and operating backend systems in production
Strong proficiency in Python (FastAPI or similar) or another backend language
Experience in distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native development
Hands-on expertise with relational databases (PostgreSQL)
Hands-on expertise with caching/messaging systems (Redis)
Hands-on expertise with API design
Hands-on expertise with AWS
Container orchestration with Kubernetes (EKS)
Experience with CI/CD pipeline engineering
Experience with progressive/safe delivery patterns
Infrastructure-as-Code practices for managing cloud infrastructure
Hands-on experience with observability tooling (e.g. OpenTelemetry, Datadog)
Experience operating systems built on or integrating with LLM/Generative AI infrastructure is a strong plus
Strong system design, debugging, and performance optimization skills
