About the Role
The Front Desk Coordinator (FDC) serves as the first point of contact and resource for guests, clients, staff, volunteers, vendors, and visitors at The Bowery Mission's Tribeca or Bowery Campus. The role focuses on creating a welcoming and professional environment, supporting campus operations, and enhancing customer service.
Responsibilities
- Grant or deny building access as per protocol.
- Properly direct guests, clients, volunteers, staff, vendors, and visitors.
- Respond to inquiries regarding services, provide resource information, and address minor complaints.
- Register all visitors and volunteers into appropriate records and direct them to staff.
- Document and communicate messages.
- Receive and route incoming/outgoing mail, packages, and donations/in-kind gifts.
- Direct emergency personnel, legal entities, government entities, and media according to policy and notify appropriate staff.
- Provide administrative support across departments for efficient campus operations.
- Ensure all messages, deliveries, mail, and donations/in-kind gifts are routed correctly.
- Meet internal and external recordkeeping requirements and standards.
- Uphold a high standard of data integrity.
Requirements
- Embrace the organization’s Statement of Faith.
- 2+ years in customer service, administrative assistant, or receptionist roles with supervisor/specialist support.
- Proficient in Office technology.
- Adherence to confidentiality standards.
