About the Role
The Manager, Demand Planning is responsible for collaborating with Sales, Channel, and Product teams to develop accurate demand forecasts, analyze business trends, and improve forecast accuracy. This role plays a critical part in supporting account growth while maintaining strong fill rates and forecast alignment. The primary focus of this role is to ensure supply meets the needs of demand with an emphasis on promotional activity while optimizing customer inventory levels and managing any risks. This role will also lead process improvements across the Operations team, with a focus on automation, Ai integration, and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of the budget with Sales, Product, Channel and Finance teams.
- Lead continuous improvement of processes, identify new tools that improve supply chain performance and lead the rollout of new tools identified.
- Manage the relationship with customer inventory team, collaborate on process improvements.
- Monitor shipment forecast and align monthly sales calls with Sales and Finance, identify any risks to the forecast and its impact to Sales, present the sales forecast to internal and customer leadership teams.
- Analyze demand patterns, inventory levels to adjust forecasts and improve forecast accuracy.
- Collaborate closely with Sales and Channel to align forecasts for promotional events to ensure availability, determine potential risks and mitigation strategies.
- Track promotional orders to forecast and recommend allocations to the customer.
- Load new product launch forecasts and manage transition planning.
- Regularly review forecast changes with the US Supply team and drive solutions to minimize E&O, potential lost sales, or customer service level risk.
- Generate reports related to supply chain metrics including in stocks, forecast accuracy and inventory.
Requirements
- Post-Secondary degree in Business or a related discipline.
- 5+ years in supply chain experience.
- Proficiency in ERP Systems (SAP, Logility, Power BI) and the ability to manipulate and analyze large amounts of data quickly through Excel.
- An analytical and solution-oriented approach, capable of solving challenges and improving processes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a cross-functional team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, and analytical skills.
