About the Role

We are seeking dedicated Electrical Engineering talent to design, build, and iterate on custom electronics for dexterous humanoid hands. This role involves creating miniaturized motor drivers, flexible sensor arrays, and other custom hardware to meet the unique spatial and flex requirements of robotic hands with over 20 degrees of freedom. You will help close the gap between mechanical systems and the electronics stack by owning PCB designs, bring-up procedures, and hardware validation for physical robots. This is a challenging integration role in a fast-paced startup environment, offering the opportunity to own subsystems and contribute to defining the future of humanoid hands.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and iterate on custom electronics for humanoid hands.
  • Own real PCB designs, bring-up procedures, and hardware validation work.
  • Design from a blank schematic for custom electronic components.
  • Debug hardware on the bench alongside the core team.
  • Own subsystems and spin boards.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Solid coursework in circuits, electronics, and systems.
  • Strong grasp of analog circuit fundamentals, including Ohm's law, Kirchhoff's laws, op-amp configurations, voltage dividers, filter design, and signal conditioning.
  • Understanding of power electronics basics, including switching regulators (buck, boost), linear regulators, H-bridge motor drive topologies, and conduction modes.
  • Foundational knowledge of digital systems, including logic levels, pull-up/pull-down resistors, GPIO, SPI/I²C/UART protocols, and microcontroller communication.
  • Hands-on experience with schematic capture and PCB layout in KiCad, Altium Designer, or Eagle.
  • Designed at least one board that you ordered, assembled, and powered up yourself.
  • Understanding of PCB layout best practices for mixed-signal designs.
  • Ability to read component datasheets end to end and select appropriate components.
  • Familiarity with rigid-flex or flex PCB design concepts is a strong plus.
  • Excited about building the next generation of robotic hands.

  • Provide a project presentation or portfolio showcasing relevant work.
