About the Role
Little Lukes is seeking Assistant Teachers to support daycare classrooms. You will work with a team of Certified Lead Teachers and Special Education Teachers to support children in our care, providing exceptional care and instruction to foster their development and education.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and education of preschool children, ages 3 to 5 years, within inclusive classrooms.
- Assist in teaching developmentally appropriate academic and social skills to prepare children for kindergarten.
- Help to create a positive, engaging, and structured learning environment.
- Implement effective classroom management.
- Help to set and reinforce classroom expectations and routines.
Requirements

- Expertise in delivering care for the educational, developmental, and social emotional growth of children.
- A warm, engaging approach with a family-centered focus.
- The drive to work hard, adapt to constant change, and evolve in early childhood care.
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to share feedback across teams in a collaborative and solution-oriented way.
- An active NYS Teacher Assistant certification is preferred but not required; the company will pay for certification.
