About the Role

As the full-time Merchandising Team Leader, you will be the Store Team Leader's key partner in developing and implementing the store's Merchandising strategy. Your focus is on training and coaching your team to uphold AEO brand Visual standards, ensuring excellent floorset execution, and maintaining merchandising and marketing standards. You will also ensure the store is guest-ready through effective replenishment and represent company values.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales by maximizing Fitting Room and Salesfloor productivity and building guest loyalty through a best-in-class guest experience.
  • Contribute to the store's financial success by analyzing reporting and daily trends to make strategic business decisions.
  • Develop short and long-term business plans to drive key KPIs.
  • Coach the team to deliver an outstanding guest experience by ensuring the store represents AEO Brand Standards.
  • Lead day-to-day merchandising, sell-through adjustments, and replenishment to maintain store condition.
  • Identify merchandising opportunities and develop action plans.
  • Motivate and inspire the team by embodying AEO's core values.
  • Hold the team accountable to AEO's customer service standards on the Salesfloor and in the Fitting Room.
  • Recruit and hire strong talent to meet business needs.
  • Train and develop the team to ensure outstanding service delivery.
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback through real-time coaching.
  • Prioritize team touchbases, development plans, and performance reviews.
  • Drive associate engagement by celebrating team performance.
  • Execute and innovate daily operational procedures.
  • Support the team in maintaining visual standards throughout all store zones.
  • Ensure Fitting Rooms are guest-ready and meet AEO Brand Standards.
  • Maintain store safety standards.
  • Adhere to Asset Protection standards.
  • Comply with AEO's policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Love for AE and Aerie products.
  • Previous retail management experience.
  • Ability to multi-task with attention to detail.
  • Strong priority-setting and time management skills.
  • Experience leading and developing teams.
  • General understanding of employment law.
  • Business acumen.
  • Flexible availability to work when the guest shops.
