About the Role

Account Managers are responsible for the smooth execution of creator marketing programs for clients, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and on brief. They possess expertise in the social media and influencer/creator space, staying current with market trends, the creator network, and compliance. Account Managers critically evaluate content to ensure alignment with agency standards and performance metrics, acting as positive representatives of the agency and building strong client and creator relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day campaign delivery, ensuring proactive progress, client communication, and on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Offer knowledge and expertise in social media and the influencer/creator space.
  • Stay updated on market trends, the creator network, and compliance, sharing insights with the team and agency.
  • Ensure creator executions align with agency approach and performance metrics.
  • Present the best of the agency, contributing positively and culturally.
  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with client peers and creators.
  • Seek opportunities to enhance team and client experiences.
  • Understand social platform functionality, formats, and latest trends.
  • Share knowledge and thought leadership relevant to clients and the industry.
  • Demonstrate curiosity about the industry, technology, consumers, culture, clients, and products.
  • Lead the identification, outreach, and relationship management of influencers (creators) and ambassadors.
  • Provide recommendations and rationale for client approval.
  • Negotiate rates and contract terms with Account Executives to ensure profitability and agency security.
  • Conduct thorough influencer due diligence and data authenticity checks, flagging issues and recommendations.
  • Recruit relevant influencers for campaigns and manage content creation through publication.
  • Organize and execute influencer agreements with Account Director approval.
  • Serve as a main point of contact for clients, building trust and managing expectations.
  • Provide solution-focused recommendations, flag risks, and address talent and client concerns.
  • Familiarize yourself with client businesses, commercial performance, and competitors.
  • Support inter-agency and external agency partners for seamless collaboration.
  • Meet with clients regularly.
  • Manage the day-to-day running of accounts and drive processes for campaigns (strategy, ideation, influencer management, production, reporting).
  • Contribute to creative ideation and strategic conversations.
  • Translate client feedback and accurately brief creatives.
  • Set agendas, lead status meetings, and ensure accurate contact reports.
  • Feed into project management plans for resources and timings.
  • Anticipate next steps and pull in relevant resources.
  • Write creative influencer briefs aligned with ideas and best practices.
  • Review and provide feedback on creative content for alignment with brief and objectives.
  • Perform quality control of creative content against guidelines and disclosures.
  • Manage content distribution strategy for optimal performance.
  • Build post-campaign reports with data, analysis, learnings, and recommendations.
  • Seek client written approval throughout the campaign process.
  • Maintain organization and attention to detail, updating project managers on timing issues and documenting progress.
  • Liaise with project managers on financial aspects, from talent budgeting to reconciliation.
  • Approve influencer contracts and costs before work commences.
  • Keep Companion, project trackers, and third-party expenses updated.
  • Drive accurate time reporting and flag scope risks.
  • Provide regular feedback opportunities through wash-ups and forms.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff members.
  • Build internal relationships and understand department remits.
  • Manage upwards by keeping senior team members informed of campaign status and performance.
  • Bring fresh stimulus to the team to inform briefs and drive work forward.
