About the Role
Superior Alarm Systems (SAS) is seeking a senior technical authority for its Bay Area team. This role involves leading commercial installation projects, setting technical standards, and ensuring client trust through exceptional performance in complex environments.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the senior technical authority on commercial installation projects, managing field operations from mobilization to closeout.
- Plan, sequence, and coordinate installation activities for installation crews.
- Partner with Project Managers on scheduling, risk identification, and execution strategy.
- Proactively identify and resolve scope gaps, schedule risks, or quality issues.
- Drive projects to completion on time and within budget while maintaining high workmanship standards.
- Perform and oversee advanced installation of integrated security systems including access control, IP video surveillance, and intrusion detection.
- Install, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling to professional standards.
- Commission and validate Genetec, Lenel, and/or Bosch systems, including basic programming and system-level testing.
- Interpret and work from engineered drawings, system schematics, and project specifications.
- Validate all work meets SAS quality standards before inspection or customer turnover.
- Enforce best practices for device installation, labeling, and testing.
- Conduct jobsite quality audits and resolve punch-list items prior to closeout.
- Document completed work, time entries, and project status accurately in SAS project tracking systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on commercial security installation experience in enterprise, pharmaceutical, industrial, or institutional environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading field installation teams on active commercial job sites.
- Proven ability to independently install, terminate, and commission access control, CCTV, and intrusion systems.
- Direct experience with Genetec, Lenel, or Bosch (at least one required).
- Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings, wiring diagrams, and system schematics without assistance.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve field-level issues independently.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Residential-only experience does not qualify.
- Candidates without commercial systems leadership experience will not be advanced.
