About the Role

Ramp is seeking a Finance Storytelling Lead to translate the operational insights of Ramp's Finance team and its customers into compelling narratives. This role involves embedding with the internal finance team to understand their processes and supporting customer storytelling initiatives, ultimately positioning Ramp as a thought leader in the finance industry.

Responsibilities

  • Find the story in the work by embedding with Ramp Finance and documenting their operations.
  • Develop first-person posts, points of view, and customer stories.
  • Create original finance insights by collaborating with the Finance team, customers, and the Economics Lab.
  • Build a repeatable system for identifying, capturing, developing, and publishing finance content.
  • Collaborate with data and economics teams to identify trends in the Ramp Spend Dataset for storytelling.
  • Partner with Customer Marketing, Sales, and Communications to highlight customer finance team successes.
  • Own the distribution engine for finance content, including audience planning and measurement.
  • Set the standard for finance content that captures the attention of finance leaders.

Requirements

  • Exceptional writing skills with the ability to clarify complex financial or operational ideas.
  • Strong reporting instincts and an opinion on content structure.
  • Understanding of finance, including CFOs, accounting, FP&A, corporate finance, treasury, payments, capital allocation, or related businesses.
  • Data literacy, including the ability to use AI and data to explore questions and find key metrics.
  • Ability to write in someone else's voice, preserving their point of view and style.
  • Capacity to work from rough notes and develop strong content.
  • AI-native approach, using AI for efficiency but maintaining personal judgment.
  • Based in New York City or willing to relocate.
