About the Role

Western International College (WesternIC), in partnership with Western University, seeks a dynamic and experienced Instructor to deliver graduate pathway programming for international students. The role involves teaching courses focused on communication skills and collaborative work environments, preparing students for success in Canadian universities and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and inclusive instruction in course topics.
• Facilitate student learning through in-class activities, discussions, group work, and experiential assignments.
• Support students’ transition to post-secondary education in Canada by modeling effective academic strategies and inclusive community-building.
• Integrate equity-informed, trauma-aware, and culturally responsive approaches to teaching.
• Provide timely feedback and assessment of student work.
• Collaborate with academic and student support teams to ensure alignment with program goals and learner needs.

Requirements

• Master's degree in any field with a background that includes engineering, STEM or applied sciences.
• Minimum of 5 years of post-secondary teaching experience, with a focus on working with international or newcomer student populations.
• Deep understanding of intercultural communication and equity-informed teaching practices.
• Demonstrated experience in supporting student wellness and academic skill-building.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
• Successful applicants will be required to complete relevant pre-employment checks, including a criminal background check and professional reference checks.
