About the Role

The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the clinical management of the dialysis unit and the supervision of all nursing personnel to ensure safe dialysis treatments. This role directs nursing care in accordance with DCI policies, regulations, and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties as a Dialysis Nurse.
  • Supervise and monitor direct patient care provided by PCTs, LPNs, and RNs, including initiating, monitoring, and terminating dialysis treatments and performing physical assessments.
  • Monitor overall performance and clinical outcomes for the facility in collaboration with the Medical Director and Clinic Administrator.
  • Review patient flow sheets for documentation accuracy, including decreased blood flow rates, prescription changes, early discontinuation, and blood pressure fluctuations, notifying the charge nurse as needed.
  • Audit flowsheets to ensure transcription and implementation of Physician’s orders.
  • Participate in QAPI and support outcome management through action plans.
  • Collaborate with the Clinic Administrator for patient care staffing, matching patient needs with staff capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the Clinic Administrator on patient scheduling to ensure timely treatments.
  • Assist in teaching and training new staff members on machines, ROS, and procedures.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert and assist the nurse educator with training for staff in all clinical systems.
  • Ensure vascular access management for patients is documented.

Requirements

  • Maintain a current NY license as a registered nurse.
  • Completion from an accredited Registered Nursing Program.
  • Two years prior dialysis experience required.
  • Experience in critical care nursing is preferred.
  • Experience in a supervisory role is preferred.

Salary/Compensations

  • $42-$52 per hour
